Tier's Comments:

One of my favorite "change-up" flies I try when the regulars aren't working. It has done the trick for me on various rivers, including the Medway, Matane, Margaree, and the Pinware.

I used to tie this fly on a streamer hook #2, but I feel it works better on a tube. The Blackbird hook is fine wire, very sharp and strong. It will penetrate and hold a fish better than a heavy-wire long-lever streamer hook. (My .02 CAN =8^)

Happy fishing in 2008!
